Ethnic Origins
One important ethnic group that leaves a big imprint on Niagara Fall's history is the Aboriginal Clovis people. They were the people who originally inhabited that land. Near the 1700s Europeans came and took over, and slowly shrunk the Aboriginal population. Now, leaving the Niagara Fall population with only 1.6% of Aboriginal people.(Niagara Region. (n.d.).

Pull Factors For The City
There are many pull factors for the city of Niagara Falls. An example of one is that Niagara Falls is in Canada and Canada is a free country, meaning that you have the free of speech and have your own free will. Another reason may be that Niagara Falls has many tourist attractions making it a fun spot to live. Another pull factors it that there is easy access to both Canada and the United States so it is easier on travel.
Urban Land Use
Economic Base
Niagara economic base is very large and vast due to the number of services and attractions it possesses. Some examples are the manufacturing business, commercial sector, tourism and professianl services. Since Niagara Falls is such a big city the economic base will be much larger because there are more services and companies that need employment. Niagara Falls Canada. (n.d.).
Urban Sprawl
Urban sprawl is a big issue for Niagara Falls wilderness. Since Niagara Falls has been tourist attraction the population slowly increase, from all the people setting up hotels, manufacturing plant, houses and shops. As the urban sprawl continues the wildlife has started to dwindle. An example of this is the Blue Salamander. One of Niagara Falls native species, but, due to all the new servies and houses being set up the habitats have been destroyed. Urban sprawl can sometimes be very good, but in some cases can affect other cities poorly.(Bacher, J. (2015, March 21).
Urban Renewel
Urban renewel in Niagara Falls has been a must among the communtiy for the past 20 years. Back in 1908 on the Down Town Falls Street there was huge shops and was known for all the pedestrian who would walk along the sidewalks. But in 1960 when Niagara falls reached it max of residents ( about 102,000) the city and this specific street slowly declined. And now a days Down Town Falls Street has a little mall a water fountain and a small communtiy centre all from when in 1990 and il funded project tore down the old Down Town Falls Street and put in the new landscape. Though their best efforts Down Town Falls did not flourish like they excpected it to. The Niagara Falls population still continued to collapse despite the communtites best efforts. (Byrens, M. (2012, June 14).)
Environmental Issues
One important environmental issue in Niagara falls is pollution. Back in the 19th century when people had se up shop alnd the Fall there was no such thing as sewage treatment. Meaing that people had no place to put their human waste. But of course humans saw an oppurtunity and dumped it over the Falls. But, to make matters worse Chemical Plants had been built along the shore of the Niagara River. So, all the gallon and gallons of waste chemicals had been dumped into the Niagara River. It is said that in 1950 and early 1960 it was a normal sight to see oil slicks, phosphurus and human feces floating around in the water. In 1984 it was estimated that around 3,000 tons of chemical waste was being legally poured into the Niagara River. These situations have been decresed but still continue ot happen even in 2016. From all this happening natural wildlife in Niagara Falls has been damaged.(Niagara Frontier. (n.d.).
